Eurocell Marshall Tufflex Darlington and District League - Only one game went ahead in Division A and Heighington easily defeated Spennymoor.
Batting first Heighington totalled 202 for eight which included 58 by Darren Riley who struck two sixes and eight boundaries. Tony Howard added 30 and for Spennymoor Mel Groves returned four for 72 from 17 overs and Ian Taylor took three for 97 in his 13 overs.
Responding Spennymoor were all out in 16.5 overs for 75 of which Ross contributed 30 with a couple of sixes and four fours. Howard had a good day with the ball for Heighington and in 3.5 overs took six wickets for a meagre 15 runs.
In Division B three games were played and Lands just had the edge on Trimdon CCA by a margin of ten runs. When they batted first Lands ended on 146 all out in 29.3 overs as Danny Carter captured three for 65 in 15 overs and David Watchman took three for 35 from 6.3 overs. Replying Trimdon CCA were in with a chance but eventually were all out in 28.1 overs with 136 runs on the board. Carter top performed with the bat hitting one six and three boundaries in 31 and for Lands father and son Mark and Robert Little shared seven wickets.
Witton-le-Wear made a respectable 184 for eight but still lost by eight wickets at home to Ingleton. Penfold was just nine runs short of a century for Witton-le-Wear and for the visitors Rutherford took three for 34 and Trewell three for 31.
Replying Ingleton were well served Stuart Laundy who carried his bat for 105 and by Stuart Dawson (42no), the pair formed an unbroken century partnership for the third wicket.
Haughton defeated Middleton Tyas by 89 runs after scoring 151 for nine which included 38 by Hill. Rummell claimed six wickets for 68 runs in the attack on Middleton Tyas, who were all out for 62 with Dill taking three wickets for seven runs and Edwards three wickets for two runs.
The Readers Durham County League Under-18s
Newton Aycliffe comfortably saw off the challenge of Ushaw Moor, who they restricted to 88 for three. No fewer than 47 of the runs came from Usher who was unbeaten and for Newton Aycliffe Palmer top scored with 30 out of a total of 136 for seven.
Bishop Auckland had 55 runs in hand of neighbours Crook Town and Evenwood shaded Langley Park by 19 runs. When they batted first Evenwood finished with 115 for six and responding Langley Park were 96 for three of which Davies scored 56.
Alderson, with three for 11, was the main wicket taker when Sedgefield bowled out Tudhoe for only 60 before going on to win by five wickets.
Mainsforth had 11 runs in hand of Coundon who responded with 93 for five after Mainsforth had totalled 104 for four which included 50 not out by Hardwick. Hooper, with three for 14, was the pick of the Coundon bowlers.
Boddington's Durham Coast League Under-18s
ADocherty was in sparkling all-round form when Seaham Park defeated Hylton by 47 runs. He finished undefeated on 45 out of 137 for two before Hylton were pegged to 90 for six. More than half the runs came from Chris Allan with 49 not out and Docherty claimed three for 11 in four overs.
Adam Maddison struck four boundaries in 51 not out when Peterlee reached 125 for six. Richard Ede with five fours in 54 not out and John Spellman (47no) led Castle Eden to a nine wicket to a nine wickets victory.
Ryhope had 21 runs to spare defeating Boldon CA and Bill Quay restricted Silksworth to 78 for seven after scoring 108 for six. Hussain with seven fours in an unbeaten 139 and Gary Taylor with five boundaries in 24 were the main scorers for Bill Quay and for Silksworth Liddle returned two for 22 in four overs.
Howe top scored with 33 not out striking three boundaries when Silksworth replied but generally the Bill Quay attack was on top. Gary Taylor sent down four overs taking two wickets for 18 and Glen Pascoe had two for 19 in four overs.
Boddington's Durham Coast League Under-15s
Howe (51) and Watson (23) enabled Murton to reach a match-winning 103 for eight visiting Peterlee, who replied with 82 for seven. Kirk Winter took two for 11 and Paul Griffiths two for 16 while Andrew Laidler and Matthew Briggs also each claimed a couple of wickets in the Peterlee attack. In reply Peterlee were always up against the clock despite Paul Griffiths scoring 32. John Watson had a good night with the ball for Murton picking up four wickets for 17 runs.
Despite scoring only 68 for two Silksworth still won easily at home to Bill Quay who were all out 65 when Scott Davison returned figures of four for 14 in four overs and both John Fent and Ross Johnson took two wickets apiece.
Thompson top scored with 30 but Marsden still lost by 13 runs at home to Boldon CA while Dawdon made the highest score of the night, 149 for five, in 20 overs against local rivals Seaham Park.
Jamie Greenwood and Stephen Gill both made half-centuries for Dawdon before Seaham Park were restricted to 58 for seven with Michael Appleby claiming two wickets for three runs.
Tim Bowman (22) and Ian Dixon (29) were the main contributers to the Houghton total of 90. Easington won losing six wickets when Jackson carried his bat for 30.
Conway with two sixes and four boundaries in 35 not out, top performed when South Hetton totalled 89 for four at Castle Eden, who were all out for 76 including 35 by Danny Evans who found the boundary on three occasions. Maddison returned four for two in 2.2 overs and Hopkins captured three wickets without conceding a run in the South Hetton attack.
