A COUNCIL is organising free Internet sessions for novice or experienced computer users.
The sessions, arranged by Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council, will be held at the civic centre, from Monday, July 23, to the end of August.
As well as surfing the net, people can learn how to send e-mails, get their own e-mail address, design a community leaflet, or even produce a CV.
Last year's scheme attracted more than 5,000 people, with 90 per cent of them using the Internet or a computer for the first time.
As it is the European Year of Languages, users will also get the chance to start learning a language, such as Swedish, German, French or Italian.
Sessions need to be booked, on 0191-433 2506.
