A PLUCKY eight-year-old accident victim proved he is in a class of his own when he visited his school friends and teachers to thank them for their support.
Hennry Marriott defied the odds and lived despite a serious road accident in which he received severe head injuries.
The youngster was knocked down by a motorbike, near his home at South Bank, Teesside, in May - close to where, in 1993, a car mounted the pavement killing sisters, Rachel and Maria Reed, and badly injuring Leigh-Ann Johns, then aged nine, who lost both legs.
Cromwell Road School is, with the rest of the community, raising money to help Hennry and his family and the intensive care unit at Middlesbrough General Hospital, where the youngster was a patient.
The school organised a fundraising disco for Hennry, who is still recovering from his ordeal, but visited the school to express his own thanks.
In the meantime neighbours are campaigning for road safety measures in Cromwell Road, where Hennry lives
