WORK is under way on the regional headquarters of the NG Bailey Organisation.
The construction project heralds a new chapter in the development of the Wynyard Business Park.
The £2m building on a three-acre site, near the A19, is being designed and built by Bowmer and Kirkland/Ryder Architects.
The building will replace the company's existing Cargo Fleet premises.
Paul Sharkey, branch director of NG Bailey, says the new building will help to move the organisation forward in the region.
He said: "The location is superb and will enable us to better serve our customers in every part of our area of operation."
Russell Jones, managing director of Cameron Hall Developments, owners of the Wynyard Estate, welcomed the project at a formal launch ceremony.
