ALL of the pupils at Heighington Pre-School were out on the village green yesterday taking part in their sports day.
The three and four-year-olds competed in flat races, hoop and bean bag races, sack races and a relay race, with parents taking part in the mothers' and fathers' races.
Lorraine Cox, senior play leader at the pre-school, said: "All of the children were winners and all received a rosette from Councillor Gerald Lee. The idea is that the children learn to work together as a team."
The sports day was the start of a week of events at the school, culminating in a party on Friday to mark the end of the school year, when books will be presented to children leaving to attend Heighington Primary School
