A WOMAN appeared in court yesterday, accused of putting the lives of disabled neighbours in danger by setting fire to her home.
Kim Knowles, who uses a wheelchair, was remanded in custody until tomorrow by Harrogate magistrates, who are expected to send her to York Crown Court for trial.
Ms Knowles, 29, faces charges of arson at her terrace home in Swinton Court, Harrogate - accommodation owned by Harewood Housing Association - last Friday and on Monday.
Each count alleges she was reckless as to whether the lives of Angela Tate and Michael Norton were endangered.
Her solicitor Andrew Tinning did not object to the remand, which was ordered to give time for social services and other agencies to attempt to find other suitable accommodation for Ms Knowles while she awaits trial
