Hunters Estate Agent York and District Senior League - Easingwold bowler Dan Copeland claimed three wickets in an eventful final over as Dunnington were bowled out for 223 in a tied game.
Damon Smith hit 102 as Easingwold made 223 for eight with Joe Grant cementing his position as divisional leading wicket taker with five for 67.
Simon Kellett (95) and Hamid Khan (56) then put Dunnington firmly in the driving seat with an opening stand of 138. The middle order failed to press home the advantage but Dunnington were still clear favourites when they started the final over on 221 for seven.
Copeland then dismissed Nigel Manners and John McHale with successive deliveries and then ended the proceedings by bowling Dave Kitching with the final delivery.
Following some discussion regarding a scoring error, the game was eventually declared a tie with Dunnington's score being agreed as 223 all out. Copeland's final figures were five for 59.
Clifton Alliance retained their leadership of the Premier Division when they gained a thrilling win with just two balls to spare over Pickering in a game which was reduced to 38 overs.
Batsman flourished as both sides gained maximum batting points despite the loss of 12 overs per team. Pickering's Brian Leckenby sailed past the 500 run mark as he hit 88 while Mark Shepher's 72 helped Pickering to reach an impressive 213 for three in 38 overs.
Clifton's batsmen then took up the challenge in characteristic fashion with Simon Dwyer leading the way with 76. Leading run scorer Darren Reeves added 35 and Darren Barton 48 before Richard Musgrave (42no) took Clifton to a fine five wicket win with just two balls to spare.
Sixteen-year-old Danny Snowball had the first five wicket haul of his career when he captured a five for 58 at Acomb who made 186 for nine in a game reduced to 38 overs. Paul Scaling replied with a 45 but the Sykes Brothers each took four wickets with Dic claiming four for 78 and Richard four for 46 as Acomb just got the better of the draw when the Sheriff Hutton Bridge innings closed on 181 for nine.
There were two century stands at Thirsk where Ripon's Neil Jackson was on the losing side despite hitting an unbeaten 20. Jackson and Peter Squired (41) shared a third wicket stand of 112 for the bottom placed side but then saw their efforts nullified as Neil Stevenson (76no) and Des Wyrill (65) added 142 for the first wicket to set Thirsk on course for a nine wicket victory.
Simon Anderson (4-18) and Steve Burdett (3-36) set up a five wicket win for Woodhouse Grange at Heworth while Osbaldwick had a good victory at Whitkirk with Richie Carew (69) and Dhiran Joshi (4-70) paying significant roles.
First division promotion hopefuls York suffered a serious setback when all-rounder Mike Newhouse who took five for 31 and then made 42 not out saw Pocklington to an eight wicket triumph.
Leaders Beverley increased their lead to 23 points when they had a thrilling last ball victory over Stillington. Paul Mosey hit 75 in Stillington's 187 for six while Paul Parnaby's unbeaten 64 was the decisive innings as Beverley won by four wickets.
Carlton Towers batting star Stuart Coleman was in dazzling form as he hit a huge century to take his side to an eight wicket win over another promotion chasing side, Crayke. Dave Thomas hit 92 and Mark Hutchinson 58 as Crayke totalled 213 for five. Coleman then crashed 18 fours and four sixes as he raced to an unbeaten 142 in 114 balls and his second century of the season took Carlton to an eight wicket victory.
Sessay batsman John Flintoff hit his 17th league century when he shared in an opening partnership of 224 with Nick Harrison who's 101 was the first century of his youthful career. Stamford Bridge's reply of 12 for nine owed much to an unbeaten 62 from Ian Fraser.
