A NEW out-of-school club for Darlington youngsters has cleared the final hurdle and can open on Monday.
Chris and Elaine Humble had to wait until about 5pm yesterday to find out if their adventure, Kids Club 2k, could open as scheduled.
They were finally given the go-ahead when Darlington Borough Council awarded a certificate of registration for up to 90 children.
The centre, in North Road, will be open from 7.45am to 5pm, offering breakfast, after-school and holiday sessions for youngsters aged 12 and under.
Evening events will include discos and cinema nights.
The building includes a function room and dining facility and there will be a place for parents to relax.
