Hundreds of celebrities who love the North-East could be suffering home sick blues over the next few weeks, thanks to another campaign to keep Newcastle and Gateshead buzzin.

Postcards from Home - a set of ten images of north and south of the Tyne will be landing on the doormats of 300 celebrities.

Newcastle Gateshead Initiative, the marketing agency for the area which is spearheading the Newcastle Gateshead joint bid for European Capital of Culture 2008, has commissioned the postcards to give ex-pats a gentle reminder of what is happening back home - including the £1bn worth of new developments on each side of the Tyne.
