STUDENTS at a Darlington school enjoyed an end of term pow-wow to mark the end of studies into Native American Culture.
The year seven pupils at Haughton Community School enjoyed the sessions as part of literacy sessions.
They have explored traditions in storytelling, arts and crafts, dance and drama.
Headteacher Shelagh Potter and the Reverend Robert Williamson, vicar of St Cuthbert's Church, were guests of honour at the pow-wow yesterday.
During the sessions, the group have made shields, rattle shakers, drums and headdresses, which are now on show in the school's entrance hall.
