A WINE merchant staged a charity challenge with a difference at the weekend to raise money for his brother.
Teams travelled from all over the country to Swinton Park, near Masham, North Yorkshire, to battle for supremacy in quad biking, archery and clay pigeon shooting contests at the Little Brother challenge.
The event was organised by James Goodhart, of Yorkshire's Bon Coeur Fine Wines, to boost funds for charities which have helped his 29-year-old brother, David, who was born with Down's syndrome.
Scottish international rugby player and Newcastle Falcons' captain, Doddie Weir, presented the prizes at the end of a day which raised about £10,000 for York Mental Health Committee, Martin House children's hospice and Wrestlands, an organisation which cares for disabled children.
Mr Goodhart said: "I have travelled the world and experienced the privileges of normal life.
"David has not been able to do this, so it has been my aim, although small, to help other Down's syndrome and deprived children.
