A SIX-A-SIDE football tournament will give youngsters from both primary and secondary schools the chance to battle it out to see who is the best.
The competition, hosted by Shildon Juniors FC, is looking for entries from under-eights, under-11s, under-14s and under-16s.
There are also two girls' sections, one team for years three, four, five and six age group, and a second for years seven, eight, nine, ten and 11.
The event takes place on Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12, with primary school teams kicking off on the Saturday and juniors playing on the Sunday.
It will cost £16 for a team of eight to enter and a minimum of four games will be played by each, depending on the number of entries.
Win or lose, everybody goes home with a souvenir for taking part, and the winners and runners-up from each age group will receive awards.
