Geoffrey Boycott today launched a blistering attack at the England and Wales Cricket Board after the latest Test disaster.

The England and Yorkshire legend declared the two-division county championship doesn't produce good enough Test players.

England are facing another Ashes humiliation after going 2-0 down in the five-Test series.

Boycott said in his Daily Telegraph column: "Don't blame the selectors, blame the England and Wales Cricket Board.

"They thought all that was needed to make better Test cricketers was to have central contracts and two divisions in the county championship. They are now finding that these two changes are not enough.

"I never thought they would because county cricket is no longer a good breeding ground for Test cricketers. We need a higher standard of county cricket.

"Too many of our players think they are big fish, but they don't realise they are only swimming in the little pool of county cricket.''

Top Aussie fastman Glenn McGrath told the Daily Express: "It will be interesting to see how England react to their Second Test defeat.

"But whoever they choose to face us we now have a hold over them mentally."
