THE County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust Board will decide today whether to dispose of a disused building.
The Crest, in Oakdene Avenue, Darlington, which housed mental health patients, was confirmed as an unsatisfactory building in 1999 during an accommodation review.
In June this year, the residents were moved to alternative accommodation at Earlston House, Conniscliffe Road.
As the Crest building is now surplus to requirements, the trust board will be asked to agree to its disposal.
For any future alternative use to be made of the building a number of works would need to be carried out, including upgrading the lift carriage and a new heating system
