A town is to get traffic safety measures costing £30,000.
The schemes that have got the go-ahead in Saltburn, east Cleveland, are gateway features, advising motorists they are entering a 30mph zone. There will also be signs on the road.
There will also be pedestrian crossings at three points along Windsor Road and Marske Road. A wall at the top of Saltburn Bank, near its junction with Marine Parade, will be lowered to create better visibility.
Footpaths are to be put under the bridge in Hilda Place and traffic lights are to be installed at the junction of Marske Mill Lane and Windsor Road.
It is hoped work will start before the end of the financial year.
