KEEP-FIT fans will soon be able to enjoy £75,000 worth of new equipment at a town centre gym.
The Pulse Suite in the Dolphin Centre, Darlington, is being refitted with 30 pieces of equipment, including rowing machines, cross trainers and fixed weights.
The equipment, which will replace old machines, will be fitted in September.
Dorothy Long, Darlington Borough Council's cabinet member for leisure, said: "It is important that we are able to offer our customers a full range of equipment of the most up-to-date fitness equipment."
The Pulse Suite will be closed for two days in September while the equipment is installed, but a date has yet to be arranged.
