CIU League - Ferryhill went down to their first defeat in the pool section when they visited Crowtrees and lost by the odd point.
This was the end of any unbeaten record in any of the sections. Despite the defeat Ferryhill still share the top pool spot with Cockton Hill but have a match in hand.
Crook Belle Vue are dominating the darts section, where they lead Cockton Hill by 15 points following their four-point victory at Stanhope, who are in third place five points adrift of Cockton Hill.
The maximum marksmen in the darts section were Tommy Ward of Cockton Hill, Colin Hope of Stanhope. Gary Taylor of Ferryhill and Gary Galloway of Crowtrees, who also finished in 11 darts.
Crook Belle Vue also lead the dominoes section by seven points with Crowtrees two points ahead of Cockton Hill. Crowtrees have the advantage of having a match in hand.
Ferryhill and Cockton Hill share the top spot in the Captains League with Crook Belle Vue and Stanhope both five points behind.

Kemnsington Cup Final
Hunwick Club took the Kensington Cup when they beat their hosts at Oakenshaw Club in both the pool and the dominoes sections. Fittingly, the final point needed for victory came at dominoes in the battle of the two captains with Ian Richardson of Hunwick Club beating Tony Leighton of Oakenshaw.
Oakenshaw Club were the Willington League champions but this did not deter Hunwick, who held the score level after the singles with wins from Paul Maddison, Mike O'Brien and Ian Richardson to match the home wins from Kenny Plumpton, Tony Leighton and Mark Kitching.
Hunwick carved out their victory at dominoes with wins from Mike Jardine, Paul Maddison and Dave Thompson with Kenny Plumpton scoring Oakenshaw's lone point. Mike Jardine and Mark Edney set up the deciding dominoes when they beat dale Wilson and Kenny Plumpton in the only pool doubles played.
Winners trophies go to Ian Richardson, Robert Todd, Mike Jardine, Mike O'Brien, Alan Binks, Paul Maddison and Mark Edney of Hunwick Club with the runners-up trophies to Tony Leighton, Jason Walton, Kenny Plumpton, Mark Kitching and Frankie Lythe of Oakenshaw Club.
Crook 4D's League
Crook Crown Hotel took a hammering in the darts section, where they failed to get a point against the visiting Crook Golden Fleece. However they took their revenge at dominoes when they came through to win in the deciding mixed doubles. Julie Heslop put the Fleece ahead by taking the ladies singles but John Warriner levelled with a men's singles victory. Joan Mills and Judith Scott put the Fleece ahead again with a win in the ladies pairs only to see Anthony Palin and Anthony Gargett level by winning the men's doubles for the Fleece. Michelle Burns and John Warriner clinched victory for the Crown in the mixed doubles.
Crook King's Head went down by the odd point in the darts section on their visit to Crook Coach and Horses. The King's got off to a great start by taking both triples points but after that there only other points came from John Ward and John Heathcoat in the men's doubles, John Ward in the men's singles and Leanne Scrivens in the ladies singles.
The Coach's points came from Carol Coote and Julie Hodgson in the ladies doubles, Irene Clark and Doug Smailes in the mixed doubles, Doug Smailes and Paul Morgan in the men's singles and Margaret Storey and Irene Clark in the ladies singles.

Willington Ladies League
The new season will begin on Thursday, August 16 with nine teams already entered. However, organiser, Margaret Todd would like to make an even number and is keen to hear from any team interested in joining.
