VISITORS to an east Durham nature reserve are being given the chance to try their hand at woodland craft.
English Nature is holding the event at the Castle Eden Dene National Nature Reserve, at Peterlee, on Saturday, August 11, from 11am to 4pm.
People of all ages will be able to learn crafts, including making recycled paper and willow weaving.
At noon, East Durham Youth Theatre Group will perform a piece of theatre it has written to celebrate the Dene.
And at 2pm the award-winning Durham company, Jack Drum Art,s will perform Two Thousand Feet, which tells the stories of County Durham's rivers.
The event, which will be at the reserve's Oakerside Dene Lodge, is free and no booking is required.
