GARDENERS in Darlington are being urged to make use of a garden waste collection service.
Darlington Borough Council is offering people the chance to get rid of bags of waste with a cut-price collection service.
Anyone buying one of the council's garden waste bags will get an extra nine bags of garden refuse collected from their home free.
The bags, which cost £5.45, are available at the following outlets: Arts Centre, Dolphin Centre, Town Hall, Hopetown House, in Brinkburn Road, Central Library and Cockerton Library, Hundens Depot, in Vicarage Road, 10/11 Houndgate, Hurworth Community Centre, Millns, in Cleveland Terrace, Gunn's Pharmacy, in Whinbush Way, Millbank and Blackwell Post Offices, the mobile library service and nighbourhood houses at Red Hall, Cockerton, Firthmoor and Skerne Park.
Alternatively, garden waste can be taken directly to the civic amenity sites at Drinkfield, Whessoe Road or Heighington Lane, in Heighington, free of charge.
