A WOMEN'S group will benefit from a £5,000 donation from a council fund.
Redcar and Cleveland Women's Aid (RCWA) is to be given the sum from Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's Employees Loan Fund.
The council's mayor, Councillor Vilma Collins, will present it to RCWA development officer Debbie Calvert at Eston Town Hall, on Wednesday.
The money will be used to finance creche facilities and transport for the organisation's two support groups.
The fund is built up with commission from personal loans taken out by council staff with the authority's bank, the Co-op. Applications for grants are decided by the council's local joint committee, made up of councillors and trade union members.
