RESIDENTS and traders in Pickering are being urged to make their views known at an exhibition next week outlining flood defence proposals.
The event will give people an opportunity to look at plans and talk to the Environment Agency's flood defence experts.
However, the scheme still has several stages to pass before work can begin, including gaining planning approval from Ryedale District Council.
Dales area flood defence manager, Peter Holmes, said: "Following the floods of the past two years, it is understandable that people are keen to see things moving and this is a chance for people to see what progress has been made."
The exhibition will be held at Pickering Memorial Hall next Thursday, from 3pm to 8pm
