A PLANNED 36-bedroom luxury hotel outside Seaton Carew, near Hartlepool, is to be discussed by councillors.
The building, on open land north of the Mayfair Centre, in Tees Road, would also have a restaurant and bar with two hotel wings. One would be used as a leisure complex with swimming pool, solarium, three squash courts and fitness room. The other would be used as a function suite with an entertainment room, bar and offices.
The hotel will be targeted towards conference bookings, tourists and golf clientele.
A report to Hartlepool Borough Council's planning and licensing panel, which meets today, said: "There can be no doubt that this is a significant development on the outskirts of Seaton Carew.
