DRAMA-LOVING youngsters have put the popular children's story, The Emperor's New Clothes, on stage.
Pupils from Polam Hall School, in Darlington, also made the costumes and props.
Year seven and eight pupils are all members of the school drama club and performed in front of a full house.
The main characters were the Emperor, played by Sophie Tompkins, and the conmen, played by Holly Gray and Jessica Walton.
Polam Hall headteacher Helen Hamilton said: "This was a really first-class adaptation of the popular book.
"The girls made an excellent job of the costumes and scenery and delighted the audience with their performance.
