PUPILS from Wheatlands Primary School, Redcar, are celebrating success in a science competition.
They were runners-up in the northern primary schools final of Science Challenge, a project that aims to inject fun into the science national curriculum.
The young scientists were pitted against children from more than 300 other schools To gain their place at the finals, which were held at the University of Leeds, the youngsters from year five planned and carried out an investigation into The Perfect Cuppa.
At the finals, hosted by television presenter Jenny Hull, they also had to present a drama describing their research, take part in a mini science investigation, and a quiz.
