THE five-a-side league at Billingham Forum is looking for new teams to join up for the start of next season, kicking off in September.
The league, which has 18 sides on its books - two short of its usual 20 - is split into two divisions of ten teams, which meet on alternate Sunday evenings to battle it out in half-hour games.
Because it has been running since the mid-1970s, some of its more established sides are dropping out due to family commitments.
Chairman Tom Davidson said: "Key players in several of our teams now have other interests and have decided that they are no longer able to play every other Sunday night.
"If teams are unable to find new players, they are not able to continue playing and drop out of the league, leaving us open to some new teams from the start of the season."
Players must be aged 16 and over.
Its playing season runs from September to May, culminating in a knock-out cup contest.
