IT is only a year since Beverley and Leslie Bailey were married - but they enjoyed getting wed so much that now they plan to do it all over again.
North Yorkshire County Council is hosting one of the very first affirmation of vows ceremonies in the country at Whitby register office next Thursday.
The ceremonies offer couples a chance to renew their vows in front of family and friends. A wide range of readings and music can also be incorporated into the ceremony.
The content of the ceremony is a matter of choice and can include a re-dedication of rings, words from a previous wedding and the signing of a certificate.
Beverley, 41, a housekeeper, and Leslie, 42, a drainage operative, from Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire, fell in love with Whitby while they were courting.
"We just had to get married here," said Beverley.
"The affirmation of vows is a wonderful idea, and we couldn't wish for a nicer place for it. Whitby is a place that will always be in our hearts."
