POTENTIAL stage stars are invited to book their places at a drama workshop taking place in the period street of a museum later this month.
The sessions, at Preston Hall Museum, near Stockton, which will be held next Saturday and Sunday, and on Sunday, August 19, from 10am to 4pm, are open to children aged eight to 15.
The youngsters will be given the chance to work with Pidwigeon Arts to devise Victorian street shows, which they will perform to the public.
Muriel King, museums officer for Stockton Borough Council, said: "The skills covered include devising story-boards and rehearsal with props and costumes before the children line up for the performance itself.
"A video of the performance will also be taken and the youngsters will all be given a copy of this so this really will be an event they won't forget."
Booking for the workshops is essential, and the cost for one workshop is £2.50 per child, including a video. Standard admission prices also apply of £1.20 for adults and 60p for children.
