A MICHAEL Schumacher look-a-like was at a mini-Grand Prix in the region at the weekend.
The fake Formula One star was at the Cornmill Shopping Centre in Darlington, yesterday, to cheer on competitors during a giant Scalextric race.
People of all ages were invited to try their Scalextric skills on the table in the shopping centre. The event was free and open to anyone who felt the need for speed.
The day was organised by Darlington town centre management team and was aimed at supporting those shops who opted to trade on Sunday.
Town centre manager Louise Payne said: "This mini replica of a Grand Prix circuit gave all those dads who ever wanted to be a racing driver the chance to prove their worth, but some of the ladies showed them how it is done.
