ALLOTMENT holders in Richmond have been rewarded for keeping their plots tidy and attractive.
The town council's allotment competition was judged and winners will receive their trophies and vouchers at the town's first fruits ceremony, on September 15.
The overall winner is presented with a silver rose bowl and the holder of the most improved allotment receives the Rowntree shield.
First, second and third prize winners in each section are given garden vouchers.
Allotment winners were - Overall: Mr C Moss, allotment 32a, Castle Hill; most improved: Mr and Mrs Chaudhri, No 23, Westfields.
Westfield: first, Mr and Mrs Bassindale (No 27); second, Mr D Finn (No 3); third, Mr R Collin (No 7).
Coronation Place: first, Mr P McKenna (No 4); second, Mr A D Taylor (No 10); third, Mr T Hutchinson (No 6).
Reeth Road: first, Mr R Knight (No 7); second, Mr K Hardaker (No 4b).
