VOLUNTEERS at a Redcar charity shop raised more than £400 at a flag day.
A team of seven volunteers from the Imperial Cancer Research Fund shop, in High Street, took to the street with collection boxes.
Shop manager Rena Shaw said: "It was well worth our while to stand around the streets for the day.
"Often shoppers came out of stores with small change and were quite happy to see us collecting for charity.
"Because the flag day was such a success, we hope to do it all again next year."
