A TEENAGE leukaemia sufferer can look forward to a few treats, thanks to pub regulars in the village where he lives.
Hopes were high when 13-year-old Alan Clough had a bone marrow transplant to combat the disease when he was four.
But he has since relapsed - and locals at The Crown, in Brompton-on-Swale, have clubbed together to do what they can to make his life more comfortable.
Yesterday, a group walked the two miles to Richmond, raising sponsorship along the way as well as collecting cash in the town's pubs.
And more than a hundred prizes, donated by local firms, were raffled in the pub, which also had a barbecue and live entertainment night.
The money will go towards a holiday for Alan and his family, as well as computer games. Some of the proceeds will go to St Teresa's Hospice, in Darlington.
