EXAM board bosses have said they are confident this year's A and AS-level results will be out on time.
Problems with the controversial AS-levels had led to fears that some of the AS and A-level results, particularly English Literature and Language, would be delayed.
The results are due out on Thursday, August 16.
But last night spokesmen for two exam boards, the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance and OCR, said they fully expected the results to be out on time.
Education and Skills Secretary Estelle Morris has already announced an urgent review into AS-levels after students complained of stress from being overburdened.
The qualifications are a half-way house between GCSE and A-levels and can add up to university points, but students usually go on to a second year of study
