Summer could be a bit of a drama for teacher Belinda Cunningham.
Ms Cunningham, who works at Richmond School, North Yorkshire, is among 35 people from across the country joining the Royal Shakespeare Company's summer school, at Stratford-on-Avon.
Led by the RSC's director of education, Clare Venables, the course studies methods to help children aged from 13 to enjoy the Bard's work.
Study sessions are followed by live evening performances.
"Richmond School is applying for arts college status and a chance to join the Shakespeare School would fit in well with that," said Ms Cunningham.
"Shakespeare can sometimes be perceived as highbrow and elitist and I want to break down those barriers and show it is for everyone.
"I hope this summer school will help me do that, as well as enabling teachers to share ideas."
