ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD Adam Valks from Barnard Castle had a triple success at the Penshaw Equestrian Centre's first junior BSJA competition.
He won the Scope Golden Bear class on his coloured pony OK Mick, before partnering Royal Declan to beat off competition in the 30-strong Scope junior progressive class.
He closed a wonderful day by taking the jump-off in the Scope junior adventurer class.
His elder brother, Brad Valks, added to the family glory by winning the Members Cup on his new pony of just three weeks.
Both boys went on to the Scottish Home Pony International last week where 400 ponies and riders converged on Lanark racecourse from all parts of the UK and Ireland.
Brad won the opening class in the main ring riding Simply Elegant, while Adam was third on Royal Declan.
Adam qualified for two Grand Prix and Brad won the 1m open on Chocks Away Ginger on both days.
