A SPECIAL guest joined Stockton Borough Council's litter education officer Sue Barker at the Hardwick Tomorrow Community Association fun day.
Alupro, a national aluminium recycling organisation, loaned her their mascot Kang-alu the kangaroo to help her out at the event at Hardwick Shopping Centre.
Their mission at the fun day was to spread the council's Care For Your Area message, that litter should be disposed of responsibly, rather than dropped on the streets.
Ms Barker said: "I've already been out and about at quite a few summer fetes and community events and they have been great fun.
"This is a wonderful way to get our message across and this time, with Kang-alu around, we got even more visitors."
