A SCHEME to encourage youngsters to take up volunteering has been launched in Chester-le-Street.
The Millennium Volunteers, at Chester-le-Street Volunteer Bureau, aims to give young people experience in volunteer work to help them in their careers.
Open to anyone aged between 16 and 24, the project will award certificates to people who complete 200 hours, or more, of volunteer service.
