PEOPLE have been given the chance to look at proposals to breathe new life into Durham's North Road.
Durham City Council and Durham County Council held a two-day exhibition in North Road Methodist Church to outline a £480,000 package of improvements for the street.
Officials hope the three-year regeneration scheme will help boost investment confidence.
Following the creation of a one-way traffic system, pavements will be widened and improved, new street furniture installed, and grants will be available to repair buildings.
The scheme will also cover neighbouring streets Crossgate, Allergate, Neville Street and Tenter Terrace.
Although the exhibition is over, people can still make their comments.
They can call Chris Fish at Durham City Council, on 0191-301 8727, or e-mail him at cfishov.uk
