THE promised date for payment of £150,000 owed to former players of the region's top ice hockey club has passed, with no money changing hands.
Mark Wagner, representing members of last season's Newcastle Jesters' squad, on behalf of the Ice Hockey Players' Association, said the money owed by club owners Fablon Investments and the Eye Group, had not materialised on Friday.
Mr Wagner said: "I've not received any payment."
Eye Group director of finance, Jonathan Stobart, said "a legally binding settlement" had been made available, but he had not been able to sign any agreement with Mr Wagner.
