CHILDREN on a Darlington estate have been trying their hand at animation.
The youngsters from the Firth Moor estate took part in an animation workshop as part of a summer playscheme. Animator Sheryl Jenkins taught the youngsters all about creating cartoons at the workshop in the Burnside Road Community Centre yesterday. The work the children did will go towards a film which is being made on the estate this weekend as part of the Firth Moor Regeneration Arts Project and Oratorio. Workshops in video-editing, costume-making, set painting and music have also been held to teach young people on the estate about the film-making industry.
