The first games in the Just Sport Interleague Trophy at U13 level were both washed without a ball being bowled and the Federation Special Durham Senior League fixture against the Boddingtons Durham Coast League at U15 level was also cancelled.
The Fosters Northumberland Tyneside Senior League had better luck with their game which was staged at Willington when the Readers Durham County League provided the opposition.
Batting first the N and T League scored 126 with Mark Stoneman scoring 45 and Martin Hubber 29. Daniel Fox bowled well for the County League claiming five for only 30 runs and Christopher Guy took two for 20. Responding, The County League won by four wickets when Carl McGregor top scored with 41 and Scott Nattress finished unbeaten with 27. Hubber completed a good game for the N and T League claiming four of the six wickets to fall for just 26 runs.
