Batman and Robin were nowhere to be seen as Bishop Auckland travelled to Gotham Village near Nottingham to play a friendly cricket match last week.
The result was not important, the home side winning by 16 runs after being bowled out for 196.
Gary Wigham took 2-25 and Keith Stones 2-30 for Bishops, with veteran Keith Hopper having the remarkable figures of 3-3 in his two-over spell.
Former Crook player Lloyd Conway made 76 and Wigham 34 as Bishops were all out for 180 in reply, Stovell and Pitt taking three wickets apiece for Gotham.
