A GROUP of youngsters were on cloud nine after paying a visit to an RAF base.
The children from the RAF Leeming Jesters Club were given a series of demonstrations by members of the 34 Squadron Regiment.
They showed youngsters how they use aerial photographs and maps for navigation, as well as explaining how they are taught to sketch views to help recognise ground features.
Organisers of the Jesters Club are also hoping to arrange more demonstrations throughout the summer, including talks from the RAF police and fire sections.
