STUDENTS at Richmond School put on a "stunning" performance in their A-level and AS exams, according to delighted head Jim Jack.
Their pass rate of 92 per cent was three percentage points above the national average and six students scored four straight As.
Of the 104 students who sat A-levels, 43.4 per cent of their passes were at A and B grades.
"We are really pleased at the way the students have performed this year. It's looking very promising for many of them in higher education," said Mr Jack.
At AS-level things were even more impressive with a pass rate of 98.3 per cent. Out of 470 papers, there were only eight failures and 58 per cent of the grades were A or B.
"It is wonderful for all those who sat the exams and for their teachers as well, as they have had so much else to do as well this year," said Mr Jack.
