Easington District
The Under-11s fought their way back from being 2-0 down at half time to win the game 6-2.
Luke Whittington notched a hat-trick, his first for the club, Geoffrey Cairns grabbed a brace of goals while Adam Charlton got the other goal, and he had one disallowed for offside.
It was a different story in the first away game at where Bowburb Juniors won 3-2.
A depleted Easington District side were without key players due to injuries, including the goalkeeper, leaving defender Lee Fleetham to fill in.
It was a very good game and Bowburn did very well to come back in the second half to win it. Adam Charlton was on target with two very good goals.
Results: Easington District FC 6 (L Whittington 3, G Cairns 2, Adam Charlton), Houghton Boys 2.
Bowburn Juniors 3, Easington District 2 (Adam Charlton 2).
Hungary Jacks
The club are keen to attract new players to its two age groups: the Under-10s and Under-12s.
They begin their second season in the Richmond and District Sunday League in September.
Last year, the Under-11s, who are now the Under-12s, won the league, one cup and were runners-up in the second cup.
Hungry Jacks are keen establish the Under-10 age group which is new to the club.
They are keen to hear from any players who might like to join the club who feel that they can learn and be coached to a high standard of football.
