PARENTS who are running out of ideas for ways to entertain their children during the long summer break, will be glad to hear a fun day has been organised.
Five child care clubs are staging a mini-olympics fun day and picnic for youngsters in the Darlington area.
More than 100 children are expected to take part in the competitions and activities at Carmel College next Wednesday.
The clubs taking part are Skerne Park Childcare Centre, Northlands, The Funtime Club, The Funzone and Activfun. As well as events including the sack race and welly throwing, youngsters can take part in fundraising sponsored silences and skipping challenges.
Local businesses are being asked to support the event by donating prizes.
The aim is for every child to be a winner and take home a prize.
Parents wanting more information about the fun day, or anyone wishing to provide prizes, can contact Debbi Moore on 07801 851022
