A SUMMER carnival is being held in Hartlepool on Wednesday.
Clowns, puppet shows, face painting, cuddly bunnies and birds, and fairground shows are just some of the entertainment on offer at Rossmere Park, from noon.
Children under 16 who look and sound like famous pop stars can enter a Stars in Their Eyes contest. A disco and karaoke for youngsters stalls selling crafts and local produce will also be available.
The carnival this year has been given a £1,079 boost from Owton Rossmere's regeneration fund.
Apart from the stalls and the fairground rides, all the entertainment will be free.
If you want to enter the Stars in Their Eyes contest, register in advance by calling the carnival team on (01429) 231622
