CHILDREN are being asked to test their artistic skills and explain who their favourite carer is and why.
The Darlington Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership is running a competition to find out who children admire and respect the most.
The competition is part of a fun day being held at Carmel RC Technology College, Darlington, for youngsters from a variety of holiday clubs and child care providers. There will be a mini-Olympics and a picnic for youngsters aged from four to 14.
Children will also be asked to draw a picture of their favourite carer, and The Northern Echo's women's editor, Arifa Akbar, will judge the best picture, with the winning artist receiving a £10 gift voucher.
