THE North-East Military Vehicle Club is holding its 28th annual rally in Durham this weekend.
The event will feature more than 70 restored vehicles and guns being displayed in the grounds of the dli - formerly the DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery - on Sunday and Monday.
Most of the exhibits are from the Second World War, but an extensive array of post-war and more modern equipment will be on show.
The heavy artillery will include two Vickers 3.7 anti-aircraft guns, which were used on the North-East coast during the war against the Nazis.
There will also be a fully operational Second World War cook house, headquarters office, field dressing station and a radio and communications centre from the post-war period.
The event will also feature a selection of militaria stalls and on Sunday a display of birds of prey by the Prince Bishops Falconers.
Parking and admission to the rally, which is open each day from 10am to 4pm, are free.
Inside the dli, which is open from 10am to 5pm during the weekend, is the Horrible Histories Funfair of Fear exhibition.
Admission to the dli costs £2.50, concessions £1.25, and a family ticket for two adults and two children costs £6.50.
