THREE dogs in the care of the RSPCA need new homes.
Polly, a four-month-old collie-cross, was taken to the RSPCA because her owners could no longer care for her.
Jazz, a one-year-old whippet, was given up because his owners were moving and could not take him with them.
However, Tipp, an eight-month-old collie, had a poor start in life.
Margaret Woods, from the kennels, said: "He has been kept shut in on a farm, so he hasn't had any socialisation.
"We are spending a lot of time with him, teaching him to walk on the lead and not to be afraid of things.
"He needs someone prepared to give a lot of time to him, and he will make a very faithful pet. He is very intelligent."
The animals are being looked after at Amirene Kennels, Bildreshaw, near West Auckland.
All of the RSPCA dogs at the kennels are vet checked and vaccinated. Anyone interested in giving a home to one of them can contact Margaret Chance at the RSPCA on 07970 600631.
