A SCHEME has been launched to provide people with keys to disabled lavatories, to prevent them being vandalised.
Wear Valley Disability Access Forum is selling Radar keys from its headquarters at the Crook Business Centre, which allows people to unlock all disabled toilets in the district but prevents vandals from gaining access.
The forum is also offering free copies of the latest guide to transport services for people with disabilities in County Durham.
The guide gives details of bus, rail and taxi services, and community and voluntary transport, and contains useful contact addresses.
Copies of the guide or a Radar key, which costs £3, can be obtained from the business centre, in New Road, on Mondays or Wednesdays, between 10am and 3pm. For details call Wear Valley Disability Access Forum on (01388) 763994.
